Hello people? We hope you had a fabulous weekend. This past weekend, the Green Ranger Safaris team, was once again privileged to take a group of workmates to the Masai Mara. Where we were able to picture a few Mara birds.
Masai Mara Birds
Now, as usual, the Mara NEVER disappoints. We saw a good variety of wildlife and birds… Today we will highlight some of the birds we saw on our game drive on day one. Well, at least the ones we captured well – we think.
We spotted this beautiful Magpie Shrike near the park gate…
There were plenty of these guys around – Ring-Necked Dove
This is a member of the Starling family – Hildebrandt’s Starling
Of course, a visit to the Mara would be incomplete without seeing the magnificent Secretary Bird
Another fella you cannot miss at the Mara is this Lilac Breasted Roller
Every time I hear someone say vultures are not so good looking, I wanna show them this beauty – The White Headed Vulture
These two posed for a nice photo – The black one is a Sooty Chat, and the other one is a Rofous Napped Lark
An Egyptian Goose by the Mara River
Marabou Stork – these guys are common almost everywhere in Kenya, including the Mara
We also got to see this Hooded Vulture, scanning the horizon for some food
We saw all these and more Mara birds on our first game drive… Stay with us for day two photos… Otherwise, we hope you enjoyed the pictures. If you are ever in Kenya and need a safari to the Mara, get in touch with the Green Ranger Safaris for an awesome experience at the Mara that you will never forget 🙂
Cheers, all 🙂
